When I do aqua fitness in the pool at my gym, I pretend I am in Hawaii. I’m lucky enough to have an outdoor pool with a view of palm trees. Enjoy the water workout in your pool while you let your mind drift off to an exotic location. Then aqua becomes a work out for your body and soul.
Water and fire do not mix . . . unless you are talking about burning up calories doing Aqua Fitness. Water aerobics helps you to expend energy doing cardio without feeling overheated. Aqua Fitness is a great way to keep fit, especially in the summer. But you definitely need a hat, and it’s fun to show off bling hats in your aqua class. What a fabulous woman who loved people, including herself. Lucy made us laugh and forget about our troubles for a while. She put things into perspective. “Love yourself first, and everything else falls into line.” Great fitness motivation advice.

Is it worth the effort? The answer is always YES! The only bad workout is the one that you did not happen.
Ah, those lovely ladies of the 1920s. They managed to wear fabulous outfits even when working out. Or whatever it is she is doing with that machine.
When you lift heavy things, you work out your muscles, and you get strong: that’s a reward in itself. You don’t need to work toward a medal, work toward a stronger you.

Fat does not happen overnight. Neither does fit. But if you develop good habits and don’t give up, bit by bit you will get fit. Hang in there. Fitness happens when you make a commitment, develop good habits, and work at it.
